What are my potential risks, when I use the Rascalli system?

What are my potential risks, when I use the Rascalli system? Being a research system, the RASCALLI Services are at a preliminary stage of software development thus you may encounter unexpected bugs, Rascalli profiles and whole Rascalli may be lost due to maintenance operations and system updates. All input you provide to your Rascalla/o is stored on a dedicated server. Parts of this information, in particular the interest and preference profiles your have created within your Rascalla/o when using the Music Explorer, the Visual Browser and the URLs you have made known to your Rascalla/o via the Web Interface will only be accessible to other Rascalli when you explicitly allow this. Be aware that the information a Rascalla/o provides to you as an answer to a question may be false. Therefore you should not rely on any information provided by a Rascalla/o. Rascalli have built in some aspects of emotion, and display emotional behavior via the 3D interface. Be aware that computational modelling of affect and fully automatic generation of affective multimodal behavior is still in its infancy. Thus your Rascalla/o may display behaviors that are not intended in the way they come out. To some extent, Rascalli try to interpret your mood on the basis of your input and react to it. Similarly to what we said above, a Rascalla/o may misinterpret your input, react inappropriately and display strange behavior.

RASCALLI is supported by the European Commission Cognitive Systems Programme (IST-27596-2004).
