  Developing semantic technology for exploiting the rich and dynamic resource of factual information and human opinions available on the Internet.

• 2006 - 2009 RASCALLI
  Developing a new type of personalized cognitive agents, artificial companions, that live on the Internet and learn from text decuments on the Internet and from interacting with the human user.

• 2006 - 2008 Mobile Game-Based Learning
  Developing learning games for the mobile phone.

• 2004 - 2006 "Creative Histories - The Josefsplatz Experience"
  A complex n-dimensional model of an historic environment is created, making use of pictures, paintings and metainformation.

• 2001 - 2004 NECA
  A new generation of mixed multi-user / multi-agent
  virtual spaces populated by affective conversational agents is developed.

• 1998 - 2001 C-Perform
  In the project, methods for lexicalizing stochastic parsers are investigated,
  and tools are implemented.

• Past work at the Department of Computational Linguistics at the Saarland University.

• Even earlier in my career as a computational linguist I worked at IAI Saarbrücken. Back then I was strongly involved in machine translation.
