• Integration of verbal and nonverbal communication in embodied conversational agents
  This strand of research is related to my current work in the context of the European Network of Excellence HUMAINE and previous work in the NECA project. It comprises the
  • representation of multimodal resources,
  • assignment of gesture and speech,
  • creation of reusable gesture repositories.

• Lexical collocations
  • My PhD on methods and tools for automatic identification of
    lexical collocations from text corpora.
  • My work in the C-Perform Project.

• Annotation of natural language resources
  As a researcher at the Department of Computational Linguistics at the Saarland University, I have been in the team for building the first NEGRA corpus, a reference treebank for German.
