Usenet, the Internet's original federated discussion network, was the subject of a talk presented at the LibrePlanet 2023 conference. Together with fellow Big-8 Management Board member Rayner Lucas, OFAI's Tristan Miller introduced the technical underpinnings of the network and discussed its influence on and relevance to the modern Internet.
