What are the Terms of Use for the Rascalli system?

The RASCALLI Services accessible via the RASCALLI Web Interface and the 3D Client are intended for academic use to demonstrate and test aspects of technology we, the RASCALLI Consortium, have developed within the Cognitive Systems project RASCALLI IST-027596-2004 supported by the EC. The typical RASCALLI test user will be a student in her/his higher education. By using the RASCALLI Services you agree to and abide by all of the terms and conditions of this Agreement. Account Security You agree to maintain the security of your password and identification; and be fully responsible for all use of your account and for any actions that take place using your account. Code of Conduct When providing URLs/RSS-Feeds or text (via the text window in the 3D Client) to any of your Rascalli, we expect you to use good judgment and respect the copyrights and intellectual property rights of others, not to provide any content or links to content that is harmful, threatening, unlawful, defamatory, infringing, abusive, inflammatory, harassing, vulgar, obscene, fraudulent, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable. Disclaimers The RASCALLI consortium nor the EC as funding body is responsible or liable in any manner for any misuse of the RASCALLI Services, including User Content or Third Party Applications, Software or Content accessible via the URLs a user makes known to her Rascalla/o via the Web Interface. Although we provide rules for user conduct, we do not control and are not responsible for what URLs the users transmit to their Rascalli, and of what content these URLs are and what content the users type into the text window of the 3D interface of a Rascalla/o. The RASCALLI Services may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or other reasons, and it may be possible that profiles of individual Rascalli or complete Rascalli will be lost due to maintenance operations or system updates. The Consortium assumes no responsibility for any loss of data or any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, or delay in operation. Any user makes use of the RASCALLI Services at her/his own discretion and risk and will be solely responsible for her/his use thereof and any damages to her/his computer system, loss of data, or other harm of any kind that may result from employing the Services. The information given via the RASCALLI Services is provided as is and no guarantee or warranty is given that the information is fit for any particular purpose. The user thereof uses the information at its sole risk and liability.
